Horizontal Gallery
Vertical Gallery
Often nature does not provide the image one has in mind. The first image in the Horizontal Gallery, "O Deer" is one of my favorite to suggest the possibility of composing an image beyond the camera. On a visit to Yosemite National Park, I happened to see a cap with the emblem of a deer in the center of Half Dome. I thought; "What an awesome image to capture". Well, there is no way to take this photograph. No matter how you are positioned, the shot is impossible to photograph. Well with a good shot of the Valley, Half Dome, a mule deer, an old tree and some foreground, it is possible to assemle the image using Photoshop. The relections and shadows are created. This is one of my favorite composited images.
The first image visible in the Vertical Gallery is actually not really a composite. It is actually created from scratch with brushes created from pictures of grape leaves and bunches. This iamge was done in Photoshop 6. There are three variations shown
All of the images in this galery have a story. Soon, I plan to post a page of each one with details on how they were created
Below are a links to yet two more composites that are square and do not fit into the structure of this page, yet they are worthy of this gallery.
Enjoy my digital paintings!
